Back

And I'm home, and conscious, I need to do a Taj Part II but that's not this blog.

I'll definitely take my lap top next time, I'd be able to blog and post pictures and really document my time. There's a list of things to note 'For Next Time'... it's getting longer.

So I'm back in the UK, and it's strange. I won't deny the feeling of bizarreness I feel. I probably need some time to process but things just slotted into how they were before I left, immediately. And it is a transition. For 93 days, I lived in a hotel, I didn't have to make my bed (I did just by the by), clean my bathroom, do my washing/ironing. I went to work, I ate out, I read about a million books. And my biggest decision each day was where to eat my evening meal. Now I'm back and I'm driving, cooking, cleaning once more. With jet lag. Fun times!

But seeing 'my people' was awesome. Tears were shed.

So back to India, how was it? It was amazing, horrible, terrific and fantastic. Yes, I put a horrible in there, because nothing can be great 100%. The experience itself was incredible. I did things I don't think I would have got the chance to do otherwise.  I learnt so much, I saw so much. Sadly, I only learnt the proper way of the markets 4 days before I left. But maybe that means I can go back and put my lessons into practice. Other things I learnt - New Delhi is NOT India. Delhi is crazy. India is beautiful.

And I’ve grown, sounds so Eat, Pray, Love and all “I went to India therefore....”. But I think if you don’t leave home for three months and find yourself a bit more, or rather: reconnect with yourself. Then it’s a trip wasted. So yes, I reconnected with myself.

Nearly 6 years ago (tomorrow), I made a pact with myself and Lani. That I would do all the things Nhandi should have. I would say “yes” to more. I’ve done that. I’m doing that. India helped me.

I will blog more about my adventures. My excursions.
